Afro beats artiste, Neo Phlames will on Friday May 18, hold a listening party for his new single titled Carolina.
The fast rising musician and song writer who has been working underground tirelessly decides to give his fans a taste of his new tunes with his new single set to be out on Friday.
Speaking about the listening party, he said: “because we are complying with the Lagos State government Covid regulations, I will be having a small listening party of less that fifty people in attendance and we will ensure the use of face mask and hand sanitizers to prevent the spread of the deadly virus”.
Phlames who is optimistic about his new single says although he never left the music scene at any time as he has been doing covers to popular hit songs and also working on himself and brand as a whole.
“I only took sometime to reinvent myself. It was important that went back to my drawing board”, he said.
“You know how highly competitive the Nigerian music industry is, and for someone like me who has nobody but God, I have to double my hustle and make sure my music hits differently from what it used to be and also from what people hear everyday because I’ve come to realize that one has to stand out to be noticed in this industry.
“Now I have a new style of play and I will be dropping good but more danceable tunes back to back”.
He also revealed the inspiration behind Carolina.
“Carolina is actually a story of being rejected due to tribal differences. The issue of not being able to marry from a different tribe should be addressed before it gets out of hands. Well, I got my fair share of it and decided to turn it into a song. Anyone who listens carefully would understand”.
