It has been four years on and her legacy in still lives on.

It would be recalled that Goldie slumped and died after she returned from the 55th Grammy Awards that took place on February 10, 2013, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. She had complained of a slight headache and was rushed to the hospital immediately but she passed on few hours later.

An autopsy released after Susan Oluwabimpe Filani’s death revealed that the singer suffered from deep vein thrombosis, resulting from pulmonary embolism — a sudden blockage of the lung artery, which was said to have occurred as a result of the long 12-hour flight from the United States to Lagos.

Goldie was laid to rest February 25, 2013 at the Vaults & Gardens private burial ground in Ikoyi, Lagos State in the presence of her family, friends and colleagues that included Tiwa Savage, Joe EL, eLDee and Jaywon.

She’s survived by her family and husband, Andrew Harvey who since married his Malaysia-based lover, named Beth Buenaventura.
