Yinka Ayefele, who is a successful Yoruba gospel singer, remembered the life-changing incident on his Instagram today, Tuesday, December 12, 21017.

I AM GRATEFUL TO YOU LORD FOR MAKING ME A “LIVING TESTIMONY “….. AND I SINCERELY SAY A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL MY FANS ALL OVER THE WORLD FOR YOUR UNFLINCHING SUPPORT FOR THE PAST TWENTY YEARS…………. Yinka Ayefele also shared footage of his first music video after the accident.
The video contains clips of him before the accident, the wrecked car and him during rehabilitation in the hospital.
The accident left Yinka Ayefele with a damaged spinal cord. The tragic accident did not stop him from having a successful music career.
He started his singing career after the accident. He released his first album ‘ Bitter Experience ‘ in 1998.
Most of the songs on his debut album were composed in the hospital with his friend Kola Olootu .
Yinka Ayefele has 21 albums in his discography. Prior to the accident, Ayefele was a broadcaster and journalist who worked with the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria in Ibadan.
Yinka Ayefele who hails from Ekiti is an ambassador of his state.
In 2011, he was awarded the Member of the Order of the Niger by Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.
