Jennifer Lopez has opened up about her past relationships, revealing that she completely cuts ties with her former partners once a romance ends.
Speaking on The Howard Stern Show on Wednesday, the 56-year-old singer and actress jokingly declared that she doesn’t “check up” on any of her exes after a breakup. “No, no. Once I’m done, you’re de@d to me,” she said with a laugh. “I’m going to get in trouble! This is why I never wanted to come on here. I’ll get in trouble.”
Lopez has had a string of high-profile relationships over the years, including four marriages to Ojani Noa, Cris Judd, Marc Anthony (with whom she shares 17-year-old twins, Emme and Max), and Ben Affleck. She was also engaged to Alex Rodriguez and previously dated Sean “Diddy” Combs from 1999 to 2001.
“I don’t hold on,” Lopez explained. “Not de@d to me, but definitely, it’s over. I move on.”
Reflecting on her romantic past, the pop icon made a striking confession: she believes she has never “truly been loved.” She elaborated, “What I learned is that it’s not that I’m not lovable—it’s that they’re not capable. They gave me what they could, every time. The houses, the rings, the marriages, all of it. But…”
Addressing her most recent split from Ben Affleck after nearly two years of marriage, Lopez described it as a turning point in her life. “When I got divorced this last time, it was the best thing that ever happened to me,” she said. “It made me go on a real journey. I had a religious coach, a therapist, a couple’s therapist, a coach to understand add+ction—everything. I was like, ‘I’m going to figure this out if it k+lls me.’”
