Jada Pinkett Smith is facing serious accusations after being sued by Bilaal Salaam, who describes himself as Will Smith’s best friend of nearly 40 years. In a lawsuit filed on November 7, Salaam alleges that Jada threatened him at Will’s birthday party on September 25, 2021, at the Regency Calabasas Common.
According to court documents obtained by Page Six, Salaam claims Jada confronted him with a group of about seven people, became verbally aggressive, and warned that if he continued “telling her personal business,” he would “end up missing or catch a bullet.” He alleges she demanded he sign a non-disclosure agreement “or else.”
Salaam further alleges that one of Jada’s associates followed him to his car and continued issuing thr+ats. He claims the intimidation escalated after he refused to assist with crisis management when Will Smith slapped Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars, saying he declined to perform tasks he considered “illegal, unethical, or morally compromising.”
The lawsuit also accuses Jada of intentional infliction of emotional distress for publicly denying that she had ever seen Will engage in s+xual or intimate behavior with men a denial Salaam claims was meant to undermine his credibility after he released a video of Will groping Alfonso Ribeiro. Ribeiro has not commented on the allegation.
Salaam says the alleged harassment continued as he prepared to release a memoir, claiming a manager aligned with Jada warned him to “end this feud before you get physically hurt.” He argues that Jada’s actions destroyed his reputation, damaged his health, and caused emotional and financial h+rm.
He is seeking $3 million in damages.
Representatives for Jada and Will Smith have not responded to the lawsuit.
