Real Madrid fans couldn’t restrain their indignation and anger after the Spanish Giants were knocked out from the Champions League in a humiliating 4-1 loss to FC Ajax.
Real Madrid lost their last 16 second leg with Ajax 4-1 in what was a grim and despicable performance by the 13-time European champions. Goals from Hakim Ziyech and David Neres, Dusan Tadic and Lasse Schone were sufficient to give Ajax a 5-3 triumph in total.
Real have won the Champions League in every one of the last three seasons, so their exit is disastrous for the Spanish Goliath and very devastating for a team already very low on morale. Madrid fans were stunned after riding a 3-year high that saw them become the most successful team in Champions League history.
What’s more, Solari, who was appointed as head coach in October following Julien Lopetegui’s sacking, is the main target of the negative fan toll via twitter.
Meanwhile, a video surfaced online where angry and surly Madrid fans were seen protesting the defeat and calling for the sack of Solari.
