Harrison Tare Okiri, popularly known by the stage name Harrysong, he is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist who embraced fame after his tribute song to Nelson Mandela, The Nelson Mandela tribute song was one of “Most Downloaded Caller Tune” of that period and also won him The Headies award in 2013.
Harrysong was born on the 30th of March 1981 in Warri, Delta State to Ijaw parent, Harrison who spent most of his youthful days in Port Harcourt Rivers State, later moved to Lagos in 2007, where he met with Kcee who introduced him to some top music personalities and later signed to Five Star Music own by Kcee brother E-money.
Harrysong was nominated as the “Best Pop/R&B Artist of the Year” category at the 2014 Nigerian Entertainment Awards, after the release of his banging song “Beta Pikin” which topped chart all over the country.
