In a recent statement, Nigerian singer Skiibii hailed Wizkid, describing the 33-year-old Grammy-winning artist as the continued “future” of Nigerian music and Afrobeats, despite having spent 15 years in the industry.
Expressing his admiration for Wizkid’s latest project, ‘Soundman 2’, Skiibii took to Instagram, sharing a screenshot of the EP and captioning it with,
“@wizkidayo, a person who has been in the game for around 15 years and is still considered the future.”
Wizkid, who clinched The Headies ‘Next Rated’ award back in 2011, continues to maintain a prominent position in the Nigerian music scene, showcasing his enduring impact and influence.
