Nollywoood Actor and content creator, Ijoba Lande posted a video where he said he worked for Colleague Funke Akindele for one month and she only paid him 90K.
He has recanted and did another video crying and beg itging that people should help him beg Funke so that she does not send him to jail…He said he did not mean to tarnish her image.
In the video, he properly explains what he meant to say.
He siad that the monthly pay was 190,000 ie one hundred and ninety thousand naira and not ninety thousand naira he said.
He said that he stopped going to the movie shoot because it wasn’t profitable enough at 190,000.
He said that she called him to ask after him and he says she was very respectful, addressing him as “broda” despite her years of chronological and professional seniority over him.
He said that she was surprised he was being paid 190k and told him she’ll handle it
He said that he returned to the shoot and was then paid 55-65 thousand naira per day of shoot
He said that he told the story to prove that a producer may have the best intentions but may be at the mercy of the production manager, welfare and other crew who handle renumeration. that they sometimes even go behind the producers to strike deals with desperate cast and crew to take cuts so it then looks like the producer is falling short while he or she is at the mercy of set politics.
