Nollywoood Actress, Lizzy Anjorin has reacted to viral report of gospel singer Tope Alabi’s refusal to perform at her surprise birthday party.
She claimed that her fans paid Alabi N4 million to perform at her birthday celebration but she backed out after realising she was the celebrant.
Liz Anjorin shared a receipt of the alleged N4 million payment, accusing Tope Alabi of unprofessional behaviour.
She expressed disappointment, citing her past loyalty to the singer during controversies, including her fallout with late Prophet Ajanaku.
The actress argued that Tope Alabi should have remained professional, regardless of personal feelings.
She emphasised that she supported the singer in the past and even played her songs to show solidarity.
“Aunty Tope, my fans paid you ₦4 million and I have the evidence with me. Even if you were paid ₦500k, were you not an actress before? In acting, we were taught that if you are to kiss your enemy on a movie set, you must do it.
“When the world rejected you, I stood by you. I even play your songs not because I need them, but to support you. No matter how terrible you think I am, I’m not as bad as Prophet Ajanaku.
“You saw the goodness of God in my life when you were outside my place. You called me your sister. No matter how much they paid you, you should not have reacted that way. If you judge me, you are not God,” she said in part.
According to reports, Tope Alabi allegedly refused to alight from her car and asked the driver to turn around upon discovering Lizzy Anjorin was the birthday celebrant.
