Agbowu of Ogbaagba, Dhikirullahi Akinropo has filed a lawsuit against the Oluwo of Iwo, Abdulrosheed Akanbi over an alleged assault during a peace meeting they both attended.
The aggrieved monarch who is demanding for N100 million as damages and N1 million as cost of hiring legal service for the action, is also seeking perpetual injunction restraining Mr Akanbi and his “agents’ from further assaulting him.
Though a judge is yet to be assigned to the lawsuit filed before an Osun State High Court, it was however gathered that six other monarchs from the three local government areas in Iwo, who witnessed the alleged assault also deposed to affidavits to testify on behalf of the Agbowu against the Oluwo.
This is coming after Oba Akanbi was suspended from attending the Osun State Traditional Rulers Council meeting for six months.
