Blossom Chukwujekwu: Background
Blossom Chukwujekwu was born Chukwudi Echezona Chukwujekwu on November 4, 1983, to Dr I.E and Evangelist J.C Chukwujekwu who were missionaries in Benin Edo State. The actor is originally from Otolo, Nnewi Anambra State. He is a first son in a family of two.
He attended Greater Tomorrow Primary School and Greater Tomorrow Comprehensive College both in Benin City, Edo State. After his graduation, he moved to Anambra State University of Science and Technology to study Mass Communication (now Journalism).
After a year, he was dissatisfied and decided to pursue the same course elsewhere not minding the loss of an extra year. He spent some time at the campus of Enugu State University of Science and Technology before gaining admission at the Benson Idahosa University where he was President of the Association of Mass Communication.
He was active in the school theater as he had his real first acting experience in the ivory tower. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communication. from the school in 2008 and moved to Lagos for his compulsory one year National Youth service. It was in Lagos that he started his acting career professionally. Blossom Chukuwujekwu is 36 years old.
Career
Blossom started his acting career in his undergraduate days at BIU when he played the role of Ukeme in the theater play “Godless: The path to dawn”. It was a local stage play but the actor saw it as a Broadway debut and became convinced that being a movie star is his calling. After many auditions, he finally landed a role in the Nigerian soap opera; “Portrait Of Passion”. Blossom also appeared in Vivian Ejike’s “Private Storm” alongside Omotola Jalade Ekeinde and Ramsey Nouah.
The actor’s breakout role came in 2012 when he starred in “Flower girl” as Tunde Kulani. The film received critical and commercial success in Nigeria, Ghana, the United Kingdom, and film festivals in the USA and Canada. Blossom also starred as Jato in the film “Finding Mercy”. The film was the closing film at the African International Film Festival AFRIFF 2013.
Blossom won the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice 2015 Best Supporting Actor award for his role as Moses in 2014 musical romantic drama film “Knocking on Heavens Door”. The film was written by Vivian Chiji, produced by Emem Isong and directed by Desmond Elliot. It also starred top actors like Majid Michel, Ini Edo. His role as a hot-tempered with a checkered upbringing earned him so much praise. Adesua Etomi also owed her role very well.
In 2015, he starred in the film “A Place Called Happy” alongside Mawuli Gavor. Blossom also appeared alongside Nse Ikpe Etim in the film “The Visit”. The year 2015 proved to be one of the eureka moments in his career. He appeared in the Ghana-Nigerian romantic comedy film “Ghana Must Go” directed by Frank Rajah Arase. The starred Nkem Owoh and Yvonne Okoro. The film tells a story of two lovers of different countries on origin, and the challenges they faced especially from parents after disclosing their intention of getting married.
Blossom is also active in television series, web series, and soap operas. He appeared in Tinsel on MNET, where he played Mr. Akinlolu Hart, MTVBASE’s HIV themed Shuga. In 2017, he played the role of Chuks Okafor alias ‘Terminator’ in the romantic comedy film “Okafor’s Law” starring Omoni Oboli, Richard Mofe Damijo, Ufuoma Mcdermott, Gabriel Afolayan, Tina Mba and Ken Erics.
It was in this movie that he popularized the phrase don’t be a stranger as he tries to sleep with all his ex-girlfriends to prove to his friend the real meaning of “Okafor’s Law”. In 2017, he appeared in “The Big Fat Lie” alongside Rita Dominic. Blossom has been nominated in various award categories and with no shadow of a doubt, he has so much to offer the entertainment industry.

Blossom Chukwujekwu: Marriage
Blossom Chukwujekwu was married for four years to Maureen Esisi. The knots were tied traditionally on 19 December 2015 and untied in September 2019 after irreconcilable differences. Blossom is yet to remarry but he is obviously in a relationship with another woman with whom he has shot many romantic skits. His ex-wife Maureen is also not romantically involved with anyone we know at the moment as she is focused on her brand.
The actor is financially stable.
