The Federal Executive Council has approved the maintenance work on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos State.
According to reports the project has taken off already and the bridge may be shut by 12 midnight on Thursday in order to carry out tests and some repairs and to be opened to traffic by midnight on Sunday.
Other damaged bridges across the state are currently also undergoing maintenance and rehabilitation.
