President Buhari has nominated the Central Bank Governor, Mr. Godwin Emefiele, for a second term. The President has sent the letter nominating to the Senate President in line with the CBN Act.
If confirmed by the Senate, it would be the first time, since Nigeria returned to democracy in 1999, that a central bank governor would serve more than a term.
