Okay, so it’s no longer news that even with the closed borders against foreign trade, Cardi B is in Nigeria already and was craving Nigerian Jollof rice earlier.
The rapper had taken to her Instagram page to post series of videos from her hotel room in Nigeria.
She went to talk about not wanting to have the hotel food, rather she would love to eat the real Nigerian Jollof rice.
Well, there are certain things she shouldn’t know about the once upon a time Giant of Africa.
1. Just the day she got into Nigeria, Sowore, a Nigerian-American who was detained for fighting for Nigerians was released on bail following a court order. However, barely 24 hours later, he was detained yet again in controversial circumstances.
In dramatic scenes in court today (Dec. 6), agents of Nigeria’s Department for State Security (DSS) re-arrested Sowore, resulting in a scuffle involving his lawyers.
2. Cardi B shouldn’t be told that our celebrities abandoned their own who was fighting for their rights to celebrate and gallivant with her.
3. Nigeria doesn’t end at Lagos Island. Cardi B shouldn’t be exposed to the other side of Lagos life. The hustles and pains of an average Lagosian.
4. Cardi B shouldn’t be allowed to see or pass through some of the heavy pot hole areas in Lagos, even within the so called Island and its mightiness.
5. Cardi B shouldn’t be told about how Nigerians are suffering in hunger without any hope of tomorrow.
6. Dear Cardi B shouldn’t be told that she is an illegal visitor, as all borders were shut down against foreign trade.
7. All that glitters on the other side of Lagos are not Gold and no electricity supply in other parts of Lagos.
8. Did we forget to mention police extortion from every young Nigerian.
9. SARS wouldn’t even let the youths become the leaders of tomorrow as they continue to kill them in their prime.
10. Last but not the least, Cardi B shouldn’t be told that some Nigerians are tired of life and opting for suicide as the next alternative.
Well, in all, we hope she gets to achieve her desire, give Nigerians their money worth at her planned concert in the country.
The music star is in Africa and will be visiting two countries for her planned concerts.
