Renowned personality Chioma Ikokwu, popularly known as Chioma Goodhair, bravely divulged her haunting experience of enduring abuse in a past relationship.

The Real Housewives of Lagos star shared poignant details of her traumatic ordeal, admitting to disregarding glaring warning signs within the toxic relationship. Goodhair revealed that one unmistakable red flag was her ex-partner’s consistent plea for forgiveness following his transgressions.
Reflecting on the disturbing incident, she disclosed,
“I’ve been in a violent relationship, my first one. The most violent men are often persistent beggars. I remember the initial time; he camped outside my house for three days in varying weather conditions. By the fourth day, I allowed him to sleep in the corridor, but that night, I awoke to find him beside me on the bed.”
Additionally, she highlighted how she overlooked the excessive “love bombing” the frequent gifting, particularly post-offenses. Goodhair expressed her profound shame regarding the abuse, admitting she confided in only one person after enduring physical harm at the hands of her ex-partner.
“These men shower you with gifts, but I, being strong-willed, returned to the relationship, and it happened a second time. Both instances landed me in the hospital. It was severe. I lacked the courage to break free. Initially, I asked my friend to keep it private because of my shame. He was narcissistic, evading responsibility, and even spread lies about how I had injured myself,” she recounted.
Notably, each instance of abuse left Goodhair hospitalized, a testament to the severity of the assaults.
