Four persons have been reportedly arrested for allegedly kidnapping two Catholic Priests at the Saint Vincent de Paul Fier in Kwande, Shendam Diocese of Plateau State.
Frs. Kenneth Kanwa and Jude Nwachukwu were abd¥cted on Thursday, February 1, by some unknown g¥nmen who stormed the parish.
Confirming their abd¥ction in a statement on Sunday, January 4, parish priest, St. John Mary Vianney, Kwande, Shendam Diocese, Fr. Cornelius Nweke, urged all Catholics to pray for the release of the priests.
However, in a twist of event, four persons said to be members of the church have now been arrested in connection with the abd¥ction. The gang was reportedly led by the Church’s financial secretary.
