As the federal government intensifies its effort to curb the spread of coronavirus in the country, civil servants have been asked to work from home as a precautionary measure against the virus.
In a memo released by the Head of Service Folasade Yemi-Esan, all civil servants from grade level one to 12 were asked to work from homewith effect from Tuesday March 24 until further notice.
While senior civil servants are expected to come to work, they were however asked to limit their visitors.
According to Yemi-Esan, the FG is concerned about the welfare and safety of all public servants just as it was about other Nigerians.
The memo reads in part;
“All public servants are, therefore, strongly advised to follow the measures being put in place by government to curtail the spread of the pandemic.
“As a further step to check the spread of COVID-19, all non-essential public servants on grade level 12 and below are to work from home with effect from Tuesday 24th March, 2020 until further notice.
