The Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire, revealed this during the daily press briefing of the task force on Thursday.
He noted that as the number of cases keep increasing, more casualties should be expected.
“As the number of cases increases, COVID-19 kills more people” Health Minister, Dr. Osagie Ehanire said.
“The increasing number of positive cases means that the fatality rate will increase,” Ehanire said.
Speaking further, the Minister gave update on the striking resident doctors.
“Some doctors are working really hard; doing double shift,” Dr. Osagie Ehanire disclosed
“I do believe and I’m sure they (resident doctors) would reconsider their actions.
“I had a brief meeting with the resident doctors today. They have some grievances they want us to address.”
