Singer Davido’s Lawyer has sent a cease and desist to colleague Dammy Krane for libel and defamation of character but Dammy Krane has ignored it and continued to drag Davido blaming him for the death of his friend Tagbo.
Dammy Krane had taken to his X handle, to accused Davido of murder and cheat, after he announced his upcoming wedding to Chioma Rowland.
Davido’s lawyers issued a cease and desist letter to Dammy Krane, demanding a retraction of the viral tweet within 24 hours. They also asked Dammy Krane to refrain from further publication of defamatory statements against Davido on any platform and that failure by Dammy Krane to comply with the demands within the stipulated time frame will compel Davido to pursue all available legal remedies.
The lawyers stated that Davido, a globally recognized music star and philanthropist, has never been charged or convicted of any offence, including murder.
Dammy Krane has ignored the order as he shared a video( after the cease and desist) where a police officer narrated events surrounding the death of Davido’s late friend, Tagbo.
According to the police officer in the footage, Tagbo was allegedly abandoned in his vehicle as per Davido’s instructions.
He further stated that every claim made by the singer regarding his friend’s death were contradicted by what was seen in a CCTV footage.
In reaction to the video, Dammy Krane claimed to be a witness to what happened to Tagbo.
He wrote: “BTW @PoliceNG I’M A WITNESS TO WHAT @davido DID TO TAGBO 🕊 NO PEACE FOR THE WICKED. JUSTICE FOR TAGBO — INDUSTRY LANDLORD”
