As His Imperial Majesty, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife is planning to launch his historic book written in honour of a Yoruba legend and queen of liberation, “Queen Moremi Ajasoro.”
The Executive Director of Fanfaceoff Global Entertainment, Sammah Obaji Ori is planning on hijacking the book and turning it to a movie.
Sammah believes that tales of heroes and heroines of African ancestors are fast fading which needs no to. He added that lack of telling African stories by Africans leads to manipulation by the western countries.
“It was very clear in Black Panther were two blacks fought against each other and the town was saved by a white man. The stand of the western world was very clear, same way if we don’t tell our story like the book Ooni wants to launch, the book will be rich in our culture and if we don’t tell the world, explaining it to them, the message will be lost and manipulated,” he stated.
He boasted that Fanfaceoff already have structures in place for such rich culture and is willing to “improve on it. We have talents and we are still accepting more talents because there is always a room for more talented people.
Fanfaceoff is not a place that put sentiment before performance. Sentiment is what is killing our entertainment industry, thank God that some of the big names have noticed it and are working relentlessly to eradicate sentiment in the industry,” he stated.
