According to reports Disney has reportedly agreed to develop Sadé, an original pitch about an African princess who must use her newly-discovered magical powers to save her people from evil forces. .
According to Deadline, the titular princess is joined by the kingdom’s prince before setting out on a fantastic adventure.
Over the course of the film, she learns to embrace that what makes her special, while attempting to save her beloved kingdom.
Disney accepted the pitch from newcomers Ola Shokunbi and Lindsey Reed Palmer, who will write the screenplay, with Dope director Rick Famuyiwa attached to produce.
So far, no announcements have been made in regards to a director or cast.
