Last week, the minister of Education,  Malam Adamu, scrabbed off Post UTME and also informed Nigerians that Jamb has pegged it’s cut-off mark at 180.
Well, today, the National University Commission (NUC) has warned prospective candidates seeking for admission into universities for 2016/2017 session not to purchase Post-UTME  forms.

NUC Spokesman, Ibrahim Yakasai made this known while featuring on NTA-Good Morning Nigeria Programme monitored by our correspondent in Abuja.

According to Yakasai: “Candidates should not buy PostUMTE forms from any tertiary institution as Post UTME remains cancelled.

“Post-UMTE has been scrapped but universities are free to screen students sent to them for admission by JAMB.”

Meanwhile, University of  Port Harcourt on Monday advertized  the commencement of sales of form for Post-UMTE screening exercise in some national dailies.  According to the advert, candidates are expected to pay N2000 to designated bank account.

African Examiner Correspondent investigations revealed that management of various higher institutions have been extorting money from admission seekers through Post-UMTE.
