Multiple award-winning singer and songwriter, Wizkid has insisted that being a father is more important to him than his music career.
Wizkid revealed this i a video shared on his YouTube channel as he continues to celebrate the tenth anniversary of his debut album, ‘Superstar’.
According to Wizkid, his first son Baluwatife is like his best friend and they have long chats together on the phone every day.
Wizkid also noted that family comes first in his life emphasising that fatherhood is more important to him than anything else.
In his words, he said, “My son is like my best friend. He calls me every day and we have the craziest conversations. He is nine. It is very important for me to keep my family together. That is one thing my parents always instilled into us to understand that there is nothing more important than family. Fatherhood means everything to me. Before I used to see myself as a musician, but now, I see myself as a father. I am a father before anything else.”
