Born Adedamola Adefolahan but creatively known by the name FireBoy DML is a 25 years old origin of Ogun State Nigerian Afropop artist and songwriter.
The Ogun State-born musician, Fireboy DML, born February 5, 1996, studied the English Language at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife.
Fireboy Early Ife
Adedamola was born and brought up in Abeokuta by his parents Mr. Femi and Mrs. Adeola Adefolahan. He was the first of three boys of his parents. He was not born with a silver spoon so he grew up without having all the good things life could offer. He is a Yoruba man born into a Christian home and was raised in the same faith. Beyond the good morals his parents that his parents taught him, They also created a love for music in him because he and his parents attended church regularly, he quickly developed a soft spot for the church choir and became really interested and impressed with everything about the process involved in making music. He soon got the chance to taste the waters of Nature so he came off again and was able to join the choir. During this period the talented singer was able to show his talent and gained a lot of attention and praise.
Whenever he wasn’t busy with homework or house chores he would be writing songs after writing he would perform this song to the amazement of his family and friends he became famous in school for his ear-catching lyrics. But he was generally seen as her nerd because he knows what he is doing in his studies, he is smart intelligent, and wears glasses.

FireBoy kicked for his passion at a very early stage in the church choir since he discovered himself to be a talented singer and songwriter. FireBoy DML with a distinctive sound made up of a type of afro-pop, pop, and RnB which grabs his fans wanting more of him.
He started singing when he was a kid as a chorister in his local church back in Ogun state and took his singing more seriously during his days at OAU when he started performing at school events and gradually became popular, he became part of the schools emerging artists including people like Chinko Ekun, Blaq Bonez, cheque and Asake
He was later signed into the music industry by Olamide in 2018. It was said that Olamide signed him after Adekunle Gold popularly known as “ AG BABY” left the YBNL nation. His breakthrough songs were Jealous as earlier released as part of the YBNL’s collaborative project before it was released on the 25th of March 2019, this decision was taken because the song was getting a lot of followers and fans even reactions on the radio.
His follow-up single “what if I say” which was released on the 14th of June 2019, is a song that Pheelz produced that made fireboy stand in the music industry firm his following song “King” got thousands of streams. Olamide confirmed his signee on his Instagram page.
Fireboy is suspected to be a one-time rapper who switched to singing with his ability to multi-syllabic rhymes easily in all of his songs and even plays with words easily. Fireboy is also known to be good with poems.
