Nigerian music star Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has issued a public apology following the ongoing controversy involving his marriage to Natasha Osawaru.

The dispute began when two of his former managers, Kaka Igbokwe and Lori Tosan, accused Osawaru of attempting to take “full control” of 2Baba’s finances and career during a live broadcast hosted by Daddy Freeze.

The situation escalated when 2Baba joined the live session, demanding his ex-managers stop discussing his private life. Shortly after, a heated argument between him and Natasha was heard off-camera before the broadcast was abruptly cut.

Members of 2Baba’s family filed a petition to the inspector-general of police, accusing Natasha of assault, bigamy, and financial misconduct. They alleged she physically attacked him in the UK and Abuja and withheld his personal documents, including his passport.

2Baba rejected his family’s narrative, saying their attempt to “save” him is harming his life and “unfairly tarnishing Natasha’s character.” He also accused his family of interfering in his marriage and revealed that his wife has received death threats.

Speaking at a recent public event, the 50-year-old singer apologized publicly, describing the situation as unwanted “entertainment that needs to stop.”

“I must say that I don provide too much entertainment. Please do not be angry at me again. Please forgive me and my family,” he said.
