Following a rigorous filming and promotional campaign for the final season of the worldly known HBO series GameofThrones, one of its major characters, KitHarington who played the role of JonSnow for nearly a decade reportedly checked into a luxury rehabilitation facility for stress and alcohol use.
According to New York Post, the actor entered the facility a month ago, well ahead of the May 19 finale and remains at the luxury health retreat Privé-Swiss in Connecticut.
Also, a statement from his publicist reads in part that: “Kit has decided to utilize this break in his schedule as an opportunity to spend some time at a wellness retreat to work on some personal issues.”
The news emerged after a documentary about the show, ‘The Last Watch’, showed Harington in tears as he learned about his character’s fate.
Harington told Esquire in April that he broke down after filming Jon’s final scenes.
He said: “The final day of shooting, I felt fine… I felt fine… I felt fine… Then I went to do my last shots and started hyperventilating a bit.
“Then they called, ‘Wrap!’ And I just broke down. It was this onslaught of relief and grief about not being able to do this again.
