How Banky W and wife Adesua Etomi lost their set of twins

Popular Musician and actor Olubankole Wellington, popularly known by his stage name Banky W and his wife Nollywood actress Adesua Etomi has opened about their journey towards having a child.

In a video shared on their Instagram page, the couple recount how they lost their set of twins during the third trimester of the pregnancy.

Adesua shared that 11 months into their marriage they made a decision to opt for IVF so they could quickly have their kids and get back to work. The IVF was successful and she became pregnant with twins. She explained that towards the end of the first trimester, a routine scan showed that the babies had no heartbeat and by the next week, the embryos were decaying so she had to undergo an evacuation.

Narrating her ordeal, the actress said at first, she laughed over the situation, but when she got home, she started wailing until her husband arrived.

The couple said they both prayed over the situation and went for another scan; this time, it was discovered that the embryos were already dying.

The post reads: Having faith may not stop you from hurting, but it will help you heal @adesuaetomi and I shared a bit of our story yesterday… about our journey towards having a child. At some points it might make you laugh or cry, but we hope that it will inspire and encourage you, help you heal and build your faith.

Banky W and Adesua Etomi described the period as agonizing and painful which became even more difficult with constant trolling online. The couple went on to undergo two IVF procedures after the first one and even considered surrogacy but later decided against it. However, in May of 2020, during the Hallelujah challenge, Adesua Etomi conceived, and they welcomed their son in January 2021.
