Gospel singer and the 3rd runner up at the maiden edition of the West African Idol, Eric Arubayi, is dead.
The young artiste, believed to be in his early 30s, reportedly died on Saturday at the Delta State University Teaching Hospital.
Eric is said to have fallen sick earlier in the week and taken some expired malaria drugs that led to the failure of some vital body organs.
Efforts to get an official statement from his family proved abortive.
He is survived by his wife of three years, Chinonso, and a child.
He’s pictured above with his wife, Chinonso Arubayi and son. Eric Arubayi had just celebrated his 3rd wedding anniversary last two months, Dec. 28th 2016. He was just in his mid-30s. May his soul rest in peace, amen.
