Yoruba Nollywood actor, Yomi Fabiyi has tendered a deep apology to Yul Edochie over his outburst on celebrities and Nigerians.
we reported that Yul Edochie had unleashed his fury at Nollywood celebrities and Nigerians over their hypocrisy.
In the wake of Mohbad’s death, the actor noted how many have been clout-chasing with the singer’s name, yet have been doing worse to him.
According to him, the same bullying that was done to Mohbad is the same bullying many of his colleagues and internet trolls have been doing to him, without hearing his side of the story.
Reacting to it, Yomi Fabiyi in a lengthy post on his Instagram page apologised to Yul as he revealed that his conscience has been pricking him.
He stated that he feels the pain in Yul’s words, and salutes him for his courage, as he advised him to seek wisdom from God to deal with his fans, family members, and the media.
“Forgive me @Yuledochie I have conscience and it arrest me whenever I am wrong. I corrected people offline and on their choice of words and actions online that I see as extreme bullying on you.
Bullying is evil and unacceptable but then you will agree with me that any event to touch on that aspect alone will attract opposition from even you. I put it to you that you will be the first to think one is using your case to chase clout. You won’t understand that some of us are into some things outside movie making and we are passionate and sincere about it.
BULLYING online and offline is anti-social, demonic, criminal, and unacceptable. My own silence online about it is because of YOU more and my experience with other artists that I have encountered. The moment you give a voice, their ego and delusion is always out of here and too blatant. The colleague because you want to use them to make name or money. So disgusting!
Some will be proud to respond while they enjoy the positive effect and where they react, it is for the moment. The time they find relief, they go back to default settings and you be the first they want to crush. And then I am careful because some may see correction on bullying as hurting your wife May. Reality.
I feel the pain in your words and I am SORRY I didn’t do much. I salute your courage and please accept my condolence on your son.
Please at this stage, ask God for wisdom to deal with your fans, family members, and the media. Trust me, one step towards humility and willingness to understand their standpoints (not the bullying part) is good for you. THE FANS ARE HUMANE and FORGIVEN. Much regards and trust me this too shall pass.
I am raised to have a conscience and I know when to say to myself, no matter what “IT IS TIME TO STOP”. Even if someone commits a crime, all we want is for the person punished and corrected so that when they reunite with society, they return a better person.
Valid! That decision is not worth anyone dragging you into depression losing your life. Hang in there. I care”.
