The policeman attached to the Anti-Cultism Unit of the Lagos State Police Command who shot dead 36-Year-Old Kolade Johnson has been remanded in Prison custody.
According to reports, an Ebute Metta Magistrates’ Court, Lagos, has ordered the remand of the Inspector, Olalekan Ogunyemi after he was dismissed from the police force. .
The deceased had gone to watch an English Premier League match when the police raided and he was shot dead around Onipetesi area of Lagos on Sunday. .
Ogunyemi, 45, was arraigned for murder on Friday hours after an orderly room trail found him guilty of unlawful use of firearms. .
The presiding magistrate, Mrs A.O Salawu ordered that Ogunyemi be remanded in Ikoyi Prisons pending advice from the State Director of Public Prosecutions and adjourned the case till May 6, 2019
