Renowned Nigerian singer Adedamola Adefolahan, popularly called Fireboy DML, shared insights into his mindset shift in 2023.
In an interview with Cool FM, Lagos, the artist discussed how this year’s comparatively slower pace in his music career prompted him to reconsider his priorities and value the blessings in his life.
Expressing his newfound perspective, Fireboy stated,
“This year, more than ever, has taught me to take a break, relax, and appreciate God’s blessings instead of incessantly chasing success.”
Acknowledging the slower musical pace in 2023, he also added,
“It kind of put things in perspective like, ‘Okay, maybe it’s time to get off that high and relax; take a deep breath. There’s family. Enjoy the wealth you’ve gathered. Appreciate the things around you and stop chasing success.'”
Fireboy revealed his current routine of relaxation, mentioning,
“This year, I’m relaxing. I spend time at home, work in the studio, play football on Sundays, and occasionally hang out with the ladies when I miss their company.”
His introspective comments offer fans a glimpse into his newfound appreciation for life’s blessings beyond the hustle for success in the music industry.
