Melanie Trump honors ‘Women of Courage‘ worldwide with the international courage awards.

The first lady said at Thursday’s function in Washington that boldness is one of the characteristics society needs most. She also claimed courage is the thing that moves the world forward.

Mrs. Trump joined Secretary of State Mike Pompeo at the State Department to give grants on 10 ladies from Bangladesh, Djibouti, Egypt, Ireland, Jordan, Montenegro, Myanmar, Peru, Sri Lanka and Tanzania.

The State Department has honored in excess of 120 women from scores of nations since it made the International Women of Courage Award in 2007.
