But for sheer providence, award winning entertainment journalist and afro beat singer, Tony Ogaga would have been dispatched to the great beyond after he had a car crash along Agor palace way in front of Forte Oil petrol station while driving home from an assignment in Festac Town in his Landrover SUV.

According to eyewitness accounts, his car had slammed into the median protecting NEPA high tension cables and did a 180 degrees spin before coming to rest, blocking the road.
Relating the events that led to the car crash, the pen pusher who sustained no injuries said: “ I was on my way home from an assignment in Festac. I had just driven past the ever busy Agor Junction and was in front of Forte Oil Petrol Station when all hell broke loose.”
According to him, he was cruising at about 40 kilometers per hour when he heard a deafening bang as his SUV skidded, slamming into the median. “The impact threw my car into a spin as the airbags exploded in my face at breakneck speed. Luckily for me I was wearing my seatbelt and was firmly held in place. I would have been thrown right out of the windshield but for my seatbelt. Thank God I was the only one in the car and not traveling with my family when the incident occurred. I can’t stop thanking God for this great miracle,” Tony Ogaga said.
The SUV was later towed to Ladipo, along Oshodi Apapa Expressway where mechanics revealed that the cause of the accident was a dislocated ball joint adding that damage was extensive and affected the chassis of the SUV hence it was a right off.
