A rising Nigerian star male model was stabbed to death by an “obsessed” catwalk rival in an Instagram feud over a girl, the Old Bailey heard today.

Harry Uzoka, 25, called lookalike fellow model George Koh a “fake” and accused him of trying to copy his burgeoning celebrity career, it is said.

The simmering online feud culminated in a street confrontation in Shepherd’s Bush, when Koh, 24, alleged stabbed Uzoka through the heart.

Jurors heard today the two men, who had both featured in a string of magazine shoots and promotional campaigns, had been fighting for the attentions of a female French model, Annecetta Lafon.

But after Koh claimed to have slept with Uzoka’s model girlfriend, Ruby Campbell, he said he wanted to settle the row ‘face to face’ and the feud spilled out from the online forums of Instagram and WhatsApp into a physical fight.

While Uzoka and a friend armed themselves with dumbbell bars from the confrontation, Koh and his pals Jonathan Okigbo and Merse Dikanda, both 24, had three knives between them, it is alleged.

Uzoka, who had worked for GQ, Everlane, and Levi’s, was chased and stabbed, dying in the street where he lived in the afternoon of January 11.

Prosecutor Richard Horwell QC told jurors, this morning, that Uzoka had been “annoyed” as “the less successful Koh had attempted to copy him.

“Uzoka described Koh as a fake and said that he wanted to have it out with Koh, face to face”, added Horwell. Koh, Dikanda and Okigbo all deny murder. The trial continues.
