The 2017 edition of the African Music Awards (AFRIMA) held on Sunday night at Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos.
It featured global icon Akon as host and versatile broadcaster Sophie as co-host.
Stars across African countries, music lovers around the world especially in Africa were also present at the event to support the beauty of African culture showcased through music.
Wizkid, Tiwa Savage and Simi helped Nigeria dominate the awards ceremony though talents from other regions were also credited for their brilliant contribution to the growth of African music.
