Abiriba- Abia State born Nollywood actress, Uche Jombo has again refused to address the hanging breakup rumors surrounding her 6 year old marriage to her Puerto Rican heartthrob, Kenney Rodriguez.
However, the mother of one whose latest blockbuster movie, Heaven On My Mind is about to hit the cinemas, has confided in Goldenpearlmedia her plans to stop childbirth.
‘Sorry I don’t talk about my marriage. As for having another child, No. I’m okay with just one child,’ she spilled during a recent interview.
Speaking on the challenges of being a filmmaker in Nollywood, Jombo adjudged that it’s a process that only gets better with time and consistency.
“People often ask me the challenges of a female filmmaker, but com’on it makes no difference.
It’s not a gender thing. It’s all about filmmaking and how serious you’re. For me, if you have an opportunity to make a film, just do it. If you don’t get it all right, the first time, try again, it’s a process.
Let people see the change and growth, as you continue. People should see the progress.
Learning new things every time.
Take a course; 6 months, one year, and try to do something different. This is a profession you can be in till you die, so you can always go back, rebrand and relaunch.
Nollywood has really given us a lot, we the veterans should try and invest back into the industry.
For those sitting on a fence, always criticizing, why don’t they give it a shot. Get into the system and make a film. Live by example. Make those kinds of films, you’d like to watch. If you have not made money or lost money in this industry, then just don’t talk. Don’t criticize,” she stated.
