Patience Ozokwor was born on the 14th of September 1958, she is an award-winning Nigerian actress, Fashion designer, and Gospel singer who is best known for her roles as a wicked mother-in-law I’m the films she appears in. Mama G as she is always called is usually seen in movies as an extremely devious woman but what she is known for in movies is way different from what she actually is in real life. She is one of the best actresses in Nollywood history she is also a Gospel singer and a fashion designer. Her achievements for her talent and the world have come to recognize her for all she has done to grow the Nigerian film industry.

Patience Ozokwo was born in the village of Amaobo, Ngwo in present-day Enugu State, Nigeria, and attended Abimbola Gibson Memorial School in Lagos. Patience Ozokwor had a passion for acting ever since she was in primary school, where she would act in different stage plays. She later attended the Institute of Management and Technology Enugu, where Patience obtained a degree in fine and applied arts. Before starting as an actress, she was already a star before acting and first made it into a radio drama. She took part in a soap opera by the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) titled Someone Cares. She was married at age 19 and has three biological children and five adopted ones, who all bear her name. Ozokwor became a widow in 2000 when she lost her husband. She expressed her biggest regret as not being able to marry the man of her choice, and also her children preventing her from remarrying after she lost her husband.

Patience Ozokwor started her acting career during her secondary days when she played the role of hamlet in Shakespeare’s classic drama, after her early marriage she furthered her at a woman training college and obtaining a degree in teaching after her graduation she went on to become a professional teacher in a reputable secondary school and taught for four years. Later she left the teaching job and went on to radio broadcasting where she worked as a newscaster. She worked at the station until it was closed down she went on to another broadcasting facility where she began to do radio drama. She later opened a training school to help young female dropouts start a business of their choice. The project was sponsored by the government of Enugu State.
Due to her humanitarian services, she was Politically appointed as the assistant to the wife of the mayor of her local government in Enugu.
After her husband’s sudden death, she concentrated on her entrepreneur business and later joined the entertainment industry she became an Actress and rose to fame in 1999 after starring in the Nollywood movie “Living in Bondage” a movie that brought Nollywood to the limelight.

Patience Ozokwor has eight(8 children) five of which are adopted. She has resigned from active movie production and is currently an evangelist ministering the Gospel of God. According to her an angel came to her dream and told her that God said she should stop her active career and serve him that is how she became an evangelist and started her ministerial works.
Patience Ozokwor has won several movie awards which include best actress of the year at the African magic viewers choice and Best supporting actress of the year at the African Movie Academy Awards.
