Iconic Nollywood veteran Pete Edochie has celebrated his 71st birthday, on Wednesday, March 7, 2017 as a legend.
He wrote on his Instagram page, “Happy 71st to me. Thank you all for the wishes. 07-03-18 #peteedochie.”
The actor who became prominent in 1980 when he played the role of Okonkwo in Chinua Achebe’s “Things Fall Apart”, is one of the most respected actors in the movie industry.
Born on March 7, 1947, the actor holds the honor of Member of The Order Of The Niger (MON).
His two sons Yul and Linc Edochie followed in their father’s footsteps as they took on a career in the movie industry.
In 2017, Yul decided to explore politics in Nigeria by contesting as Anambra state Governor losing to Governor Willie Obiano.
Edochie who is a Catholic faithful has appeared in hundreds of movies with several awards to his merit.
