A lady and her incarcerated ex-policeman fiancée have been charged for blackmailing Nollywood actress Matilda Lambert with Computer-Generated nude pictures.
Adepoju Tola Ife, who works as a child care support and matron in a church in Ajegunle, Lagos, has been arraigned on miscellaneous offences including blackmail, threat to life among others.
It was gathered that the suspect is part of a team of blackmail syndicate that contacted Matilda via WhatsApp and threatened to publish her nude pictures if she doesn’t pay N2 million.
The actress, however, got the police involved and Ife was arrested through the First Bank account number 3117532921, provide for the payment.
On interrogation, the suspect, who is in her 40s, told the police that she was working for her fiance, one Adewusi Adesina, a convicted ex-police officer serving a 14 years jail term for recklessly shooting an innocent man. .
Ife revealed that she and her husband ventured into the business with the hope of raising enough money to plan their wedding which is billed to hold immediately he completes his jail term.
