President Muhammadu Buhari jetted out of Abuja on Thursday, May 19, on a condolence visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
He is expected to meet with the country’s new president, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to convey his condolences on the passing of the former president and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The president’s spokesman, Garba Shehu, disclosed this in a statement in Abuja.
According to the presidential aide, Buhari will also extend his congratulations to the new president, renewing bonds of the longstanding friendship between Nigeria and the UAE.
