Popular actress and entrepreneur, Queeneth Agbor has unveiled her fashion label. The versatile role interpreter stated that the fashion label ‘Ankara Beauty by QA’ is dedicated to her late mother who would have been a year older today.
According to her:”Ankara Beauty by QA was inspired by my mom and my love for African prints. The bold beautiful designs that give women clothing a classy Afrocentric vibe .As a child my mother would make matching buba for both of us.
Even as grown up, she would always call and say she just saw a beautiful Ankara and would want everyone in the family to have it. After her death, I was going through her album and I noticed she loved Ankara fashion. From her earrings, bags and lot’s more. That was how I decided to start an all Ankara fashion line”.
On why she started the fashion line, Agbor said she has always had it in mind.
“Ankara Beauty by QA is a project I started to plan since last year.
However, Covid-19 put a stop to the production process. I was sad about it but never stopped praying neither did I give up. I decided to use Covid-19 to my advantage by coming up with what people actually needed this period to protect themselves. To differentiate it from others.
I decided to make nose masks with matching head bands, scarfs and face caps for ladies, gentlemen, babies and everyone. Since my mom inspired it, what better time to unveil than on her birthday. So I get to celebrate her birthday for the rest of my life through my business growth, rather than being sad on every 5th of May”.
Highlighting what makes the brand unique, she said: “My brand is original and I understand and I know my target audience. I have a defined mission and I can identify my key value. I have a goal and that is to satisfy my target market with something unique with top notch quality at reasonable rates.
I am not following the usual industry trend of going into the same business like others in the industry.
I am grateful to my sweetest mum for being my biggest inspiration. May she continue to rest in the Lord’s bosom. I love and miss her dearly and hope I am making her proud”.
