American singer and ex-lover to Kim Kardashain, Ray J has been arrested after allegedly brandishing a gun at his ex-wife, Princess Love, during a tense argument streamed live online.
According to TMZ, the 44-year-old singer was taken into custody in Los Angeles on Thursday, Nov. 27, and charged with making criminal threats. His bail was set at $50,000, and he was released later that day. Neither the LAPD nor representatives for Ray J and Princess Love provided immediate comment.
Clips from the livestream circulating on social media show a heated confrontation in which Ray J accuses Love and her relatives of attempting to “drive drunk.” Princess Love then appears on camera holding their daughter, Melody. The former couple also share a 5-year-old son, Epik.
At one point, Princess claims on video, “Ray, you just pointed a gun,” to which Ray J responds by repeating his accusations and denying that he pointed a weapon at anyone. He also labels Princess and her cousins “alcoholics.”
Princess insists she wasn’t planning to drive, saying, “I’m not driving! You just pointed a gun at us,” while Ray J counters, “I didn’t point nothing at y’all.” She later accuses him of being “a woman abuser.”
In the video, Princess tells him she has called the police, prompting Ray J to reply, “I’ll sh%%t the fucking police.” TMZ additionally reports that the livestream shows Ray J holding a gun and warning that he would use it if anyone tried to approach the door.
Ray J began the stream by saying he was having “the worst Thanksgiving in the fucking world,” according to the outlet.
