It was like a scene from a thriller movie but it was actually a stunt that produced a happy ending at the end of the day.
Top actor, Chidi Simon, proposed to his fiancée on stage after winning a MAFAA Award of 2017 held at NAF conference Center and Suites, Kado District Abuja.

The actor cum business man got his fans screaming from the audience, when he was called up to receive his award. Immediately he mouned the stage, with his fiancee (Vivian Madu) and other friends, he startled the audience with three Nigeria Army officers storming the stage for his arrest, claiming that he bashed someone’s car, and asked for his car keys.
After few minutes of defense from him and the persistent request from the soldiers for the keys, Simon dipped his hands in his pocket and to the surprise of the audience produced an engagement ring and thereafter went on his knees to propose to her.
Said he; “well, I don’t know if all of you have seen Vivian without her make up on, she is pretty without it. And she’s perfect everytime I look at her.
Looking into her eyes on one knee, with the ring in his hands, the thespian asked her thus: “Vivian will you marry me?”
With tears in her eyes, emotional Vivian answered; “yes!”
And the crowd went crazy with cheers even as Chidi and Vivian hugged to the admiration of all present.
The crowd took turns to take selfie with them.
