On Thursday February 20, 2025, Senate President Godswill Akpabio ordered the removal of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan from the chamber over refusal to move to a new seat as part of a revised seating arrangement and instead began a long loud rant in the senate.
Amongst other things she said, she was heard saying to the Senate President;”I am not afraid of you, Do whatever you deem fit, but I will not leave this seat.
My voice will not be silenced.”
The Sergeant-at-Arms was called in to escort her out but other lawmakers intervened, and eventually, she was allowed to stay.
