Davido may have been ‘on his knees’ for a hot a minute, but the global singer has risen up, as he’s set to perform as a headliner at the BET Awards 2024.
In an official statement by the BET Awards, it was revealed that Davido would be headlining the award show, alongside Cardi B, Sexxy Red, and Gunna. This is quite a huge feat to achieve because the BET Awards is one of the biggest black dominated awards in the world.
Davido has performed at the BET Awards in the past, and so have artists like Burnaboy. The singer has also been recognized internationally by platforms like the Grammys.
Although Davido’s personal image may be in murky waters, the singer still managed to stay on top of the game for his career.
The whole situation that smudged Davido’s image recently was a single picture. This picture was shared by a friend of Davido’s ‘friend’ mistakenly. It captured Davido in an intimate pose with his ‘friend’, and that is what got tongues wagging.
After the picture, the second thing that sunk Davido deeper into this drama was the fact that a video of him begging on his knees was released. Although the purpose for his ‘begging’ was not revealed, it still got people talking.
This isn’t Davido’s first rodeo with drama involving women, because as of last year, an American lady by the name Anita dragged him for months for allegedly getting her pregnant.
Anita also gave her two cents on this recent drama that Davido was involved him, and she was not on his side, even though she recently revealed that she would be attending his show.
Davido has rendered no statement about the issue, and only one member of his team has spoken about the issue, and that is Israel DMW.
