American television personality, Stephen Laurel Boss, better known as DJ ‘tWitch’, has died at the age of 40.
Boss, who was the famed DJ on Ellen DeGeneres’ talk show, died on Tuesday, December 13, after reportedly ending it all.
The television host’s death was confirmed by his wife, Allison Holker, in a statement to PEOPLE on Wednesday. A cause of death was not provided in her statement, but TMZ has reported that Boss died by suicide.
According to TMZ, some police sources in Los Angeles said that the wife of ‘tWitch’, Allison Holker, went in desperation to a police station on Tuesday to report that Stephen had disappeared from his home without taking his car, which he never did.
It adds that before noon, paramedics received a call for a medical emergency at a Los Angeles hotel and that’s where they found Stephen, dead of a gunshot wound that was apparently self-inflicted.
