Toyin Abraham, born Olutoyin Aimakhu is a Nigerian film actress, filmmaker, director, and producer.

TOYIN ABRAHAM EARLY LIFE
On the 5th of September 1984, Olutoyin Aimakhu was born into the family of Mr. and Mrs. Aimakhu in Edo State Nigeria, she had her elementary education in Edo state before her family moved down to the South-Western region of Nigeria, Ibadan to be precise.

After moving to Ibadan, she continued her education, and also she had most of her early life in the capital city of Oyo state before moving to Ogun state for her tertiary education.

Toyin attended St Anne’s School Ibadan for her secondary school education.

She went to Osun State Polytechnic Iree; from 2005 to 2007, where she had her Pre-National Diploma and Ordinary National Diploma. She obtained a Higher National Diploma Certificate in Marketing from Ibadan Polytechnic. Toyin Abraham has starred in many movies and recently starred in a movie called Black Val.

TOYIN ABRAHAM CAREER
Abraham started acting in 2003 when Nigerian actress Bukky Wright came to Ibadan to shoot a movie. Abraham has made, directed, and starred in several Nigerian films including Alani Baba Labake and Ebimi ni. During the 2013 Best of Nollywood Awards, Toyin Abraham was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Yoruba Film titled Ebimi ni, alongside Joke Muyiwa, who was nominated for Best Lead Actress in a Yoruba film titled Ayitale. Abraham also starred in the movie, Black Val. Martini Animashaun, the CEO of Tinimash Entertainment, created and managed her reality show titled, Keeping Up With Toyin Aimakhu.

In 2020, Abraham was made the ambassador for Revolution Plus Properties, a Lagos-based property outfit. Abraham was also made the brand ambassador for Checkers Custard Nigeria in the month of February 2022.

TOYIN ABRAHAM PERSONAL LIFE

In 2013, Abraham got married to Adeniyi Johnson, a Nollywood actor. The marriage ended in 2019. Then, in July 2019, she had a traditional engagement with Kolawole Ajeyemi, an actor too, and together they welcomed their first child in August 2019.

She changed her name from Toyin Aimakhu to Toyin Abraham in 2016. According to her, the change was her family’s decision.

The well-known Nollywood actress is striving to dispel public misconceptions about the stability of her marriage.

Recently, Toyin Abraham scolded a worried follower on Twitter for simply inquiring about the status of her marriage.

The fan tweeted, “I heard that you are having issues in your family…..I was so sad because I really love you and I don’t want anything to happen to you…”

The actress answered, “Please stop! I am not having any issues in my marriage.”

Just a few days after JJC announced his split from Funke Akindele, his wife of more than six years. Toyin Abraham may need to do more than simply deny that there is a breach in her marriage.
