Police are hunting a man believed to have carried out a “very violent assault” on a woman in Stratford.
Officers were called to reports of an assault at 6.40pm on Saturday and forced entry to a property. They found an injured 26-year-old woman, who was taken to hospital where she remains in a critical but stable condition.
Police believe Unchenna Nwanokwu, 38, who was known to the woman, carried out the attack, and have released his picture in a bid to trace him.
