Victor Boniface Biography Victor Okoh Boniface (born 23 December 2000) is a Nigerian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen and the Nigeria national team. He is known for his pace, power, dribbling and finishing skills.
Early life and Education.
Boniface was born in Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria, to a family of football enthusiasts. His father, Okoh Boniface, was a former player and coach, while his mother, Grace Boniface, was a teacher and a fan of Arsenal. He has two older brothers, Emmanuel and Daniel, who also played football at various levels. Boniface started playing football at the age of five, joining a local academy called Real Sapphire FC in Lagos. He showed great talent and potential, attracting the attention of scouts from Europe. He completed his secondary education at St. John’s College in Lagos, where he excelled both academically and athletically.
Career.
Bodø/Glimt.
In March 2019, Boniface signed for Norwegian club Bodø/Glimt from Real Sapphire FC. He made his debut in September 2019, scoring his first goal in a 4-0 win over Tromsø. He helped the club win two consecutive Eliteserien titles in 2020 and 2021, scoring 13 goals in 48 league appearances.
Union SG.
In August 2022, Boniface moved to Belgian club Union Saint-Gilloise on a four-year contract. He made an immediate impact, scoring a hat-trick on his debut in a UEFA Champions League qualifying game against Klaksvik.
